1.What is Bio Cellulose?+
It is able to hold 100x it’s own dry weight in moisture. And biocellulose is hydrophillic, which is the ability to both absorb or donate moisture to the surface it’s in contact with.

2.What is so special about Biocellulose facial masks?+
Our Bio Cellulose is grown using Acetobacter Xylinum bacteria in a bio-reactor. It is cultured specifically for use as skin treatments in a continuous process. Though it takes 10 days for the bacteria to extrude sufficient cellulose material for it to be harvested. Because of how it’s “made” the cellulose fibers are longer and smaller than typical cellulose (derived from traditional plant material).
Bio Cellulose fibers are four times stronger than plant-based cellulose and are able to attract and retain fluid in great capacity. And Bio Cellulose fibers can be grown to have longer lengths than plant cellulose fibers, which permits them to be woven into tight, 3-dimensional fabrics. -
3.The Big Bio Cellulose difference?+
Because of biocellulose’s nano-sized fibers it has very useful properties. It is able to hold 100x it’s own dry weight in moisture. And biocellulose is hydrophillic, which is the ability to both absorb or donate moisture to the surface it’s in contact with. This unique ability is why biocellulose is used in medical scenarios to treat burns and/or festering wounds.
Of course, the ability to absorb and hold moisture is obviously tremendously beneficial for cosmetic skin care. Due to biocellulose’s ability to hydrate skin you’d see a benefit. But biocellulose’s inclination to reach moisture equilibrium makes it more helpful. It both moisturizes dry skin and normalizes oily skin simultaneously. All this before any cosmeceutical ingredients are even added.
Biocellulose masks will also not dry out during treatment, since they’re holding 100x their own moisture. And because the fibers are stronger the mask is more durable too. It can be applied, removed, and re-applied if necessary. The super hydration also helps it cling tightly to your skin – which helps to gently open pores during use.
